Problem:

ROD (Rapid Ohia Death) is no joke. Our native forests are under attack.

 

This horrible extremely fast killing disease has spread to nearly all parts of the island except the most isolated regions.

Solution:

Respond to reports and with permission remove infected trees in a very short time due to the spreading nature of the trees disease, taking too long can result in the disease taking over and soon an entire area is infected. Kohala, Hualalai, Kau are at greatest risk due to the low amount of ROD prevalent.

Protecting our native forests is of absolute importance.

​

We attempt to work with landowners and government agencies to conduct surveys and take a proactive approach to limiting the spread of not only ROD but BBTV as well.
